Steeltown Garage Co.

Being part of a vibrant community like the city of Hamilton means more than just fixing ships on the waterfront. It means engaging with community members and supporting local businesses to foster a feeling of partnership amongst local business owners. That’is why, when we were approached by Steeltown Garage Co. to help with a photo shoot for their new product line, we jumped at the chance. Wanting to use Hamilton’s rich marine culture as a backdrop to display their fall and winter apparel collection, Steeltown Garage Co. spent a morning at our Hamilton Shipyard.

Founded in 2017 by Jeff Campagna and his wife Tania, Steeltown Garage Co. is local coffee shop geared towards bringing together Hamilton’s vibrant motorcycle culture with the wider community. At the Steeltown garage, you will find a specialty coffee bar, clothing retail store, and overall, a pretty cool place to take a break from an afternoon motorcycle ride.

Johnny Blondes

And what goes better with a coffee than a sandwich from Johnny Blondes Food Truck & Catering (who are also based out of Hamilton)? This week, Heddle Shipyards was privileged enough to have the Johnny Blonde food truck at our yard to serve the Heddle employees lunch. The Johnny Blonde food truck is a staple of the Hamilton arts scene, catering at art battles, festivals, private events and everything in between. Heddle Shipyards is proud to be a member of the Hamilton community, and is honored to support the local businesses that make Steeltown the vibrant city it is. Next time you are down at our shipyard, take the time to grab a coffee at the Steeltown Garage, and if Johnny Blonde is in the neighborhood, you won’t want to miss the food truck.
