As Heddle Shipyards continues to grow and take on bigger and more complex projects, the building up of our project management department has become an increasing priority.  Last month, Heddle Shipyards took a giant step forward with the Hiring of Alicia Nash as our Director of Project Management.

Alicia comes to us from Lloyd’s Register where she worked for 8 years as an engineering systems team lead. She brings with her extensive project management, coordination and planning experience, all of which will be needed in her new and challenging role.  Alicia will be heading our project management department as well as facilitating communication between our tendering and operations groups. Our goal at Heddle Shipyards is to have a seamless transition of information from the bid stage through to the successful execution of every project.

Project management is the core of the ship repair and construction industry, and projects are only as successful as the planning and coordination that go into them.  Project managers are the men and women on the ground who get the job done and turn ideas into realities. They are truly the unsung heroes of our yard; they work the longest hours and get little credit, but without them the whole show falls apart.

We are excited to have Alicia as part of the team and are confident she will be a valuable asset for Heddle Shipyards as we continue to grow as a company.
